Birthing Misconceptions
You can have as many cesareans as you want
If you have a cesarean once, you must have another one
Cesareans are easier for the mom
Cesareans are less painful than vaginal birth
Labour pain is unbearable and can’t be managed
I have no control over my labour; it’s up to the health professionals
I’m small and the baby seems so big, so I can’t have a normal vaginal birth
If the baby is in the breech position, I have to have a cesarean
If I go past my baby’s due date, the labour will have to be induced
If I have a high-risk pregnancy, a cesarean is best
